Electricity is the heart of this modern world. So a lot of thesis and practical experiment have done to produce electricity.Electricity from potato is one of them.This is very interesting and simple to implement.Now I will discuss about the process of produce electricity from potato.
Here very simple and little amount of instrument is necessary to implement this project . The instruments are some potatoes (Each potato able to give about 1 volt dc),copper plate,zinc plate and some wire.
Now make a complete circuit as like the figure.copper plate acts here as a positive terminal and zinc plate acts here as a negative terminal. potatoes are connected in series.the other ends of the potatoes are connected according to the polarity of the load.The load may be calculator , LED etc.By increasing the number of potatoes the amount of voltage can be increase.
This project is now under thesis to produce large amount of power .This project is useful or not comment here.
where can I get zinc and copper plates and how can I get it here in Nigeria.
